Oh gosh, I’ve been getting a bit slack with my blog lately – just haven’t had the inclination to update, but would prefer just to be creating. I’ve been loving the weekly challenges on the Hero Arts blog here’s a couple I’ve done over the past 2 weeks.
This challenge was to stamp on something other than paper or cardstock. I made this cute little Hot Cross Bun basket from felt and stamped onto the felt and onto ribbon

The next two were for the ‘my message’ challenge where we had to put together our own sentiment that isn’t already a hero arts stamp.
I really want Hero Arts to design a ‘you rock’ stamp, so I did that for my first attempt

And this was my second attempt (this card is for Jason, just because!)

I had the chance to work with the lovely new Zinnia range by Little Yellow Bicycle, such fabulous colours in this range and absolutely gorgeous embellishments!
I found this baby photo of Shayla (I can’t believe I ever allowed her to be posed like this in a pot!LOL) and it matched the papers perfectly.

I have to show you a close up of these products, just delicious!

And I also made these 3 little Easter baskets, you can find the instructions for these here on the Aussie blog.
Here’s a little hint what we got up to over Easter

I’ve discovered a new hobby that I just love!!
And we survived Shayla’s disco party – only just! Gosh 11 year girls can be energetic and noisy!!!LOL
That’s Shayla laying down in front in her new outfit, there’ll be a layout about that soon!
Lastly, a lovely new friend I’ve met on the Hero Arts flickr group has given me an award, thanks so much Diana you are so sweet!

Here’s a bit about the award
The Renee Award was created by Bella and Ces in honor of their friend Renee.
In Bella’s own words: “this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it’s way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns…”
There are no “rules” for claiming this award, but I would suggest the following:
Thank the person who nominated you for the Renee Award.
Click on the picture above to see it larger, then download it and post it on your blog.
Mention the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
Nominate others to receive the award.
Comment on their blogs to let them know you nominated them.
Visit Bella, Ces, and Renee and let them know you received the award and passed it on. Consider linking your blog post to them, too.
There are so many wonderful and special friends I’ve made in the scrapbooking community, here are just a few I’d like to send this award to today.
Lucy – one of my new card making buddies who does amazing cards
Tiffany – another new card buddy who’s work must be seen – gorgeous!
Sherry – awesome scrapbooker, cardmaker and beyond the page maker!!!
Trina – who is also super talented but she’s not feeling too good at the moment, so this is to cheer you up matey!
I could keep going, but I’ll stop there as this is a bit of a moster post for me! Have a terrific week everyone!
